What MedicOS collects

Last updated 24 September 2026.

The short version

The iOS app collects nothing on its own No analytics, no tracking. It only sends something if you register or send a suggestion.
Reading protocols needs no account Protocol content is public and is never tied to a person
Nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising There are no advertisers and no third-party trackers
The Career Hub is the only place real personal data lives And only because you typed it in

1. The iOS app

The MedicOS iOS app contains the entire protocol document and works with no network connection. It sends nothing anywhere by itself. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier and no crash-reporting service in it.

The app offers to register your name and the agency you work for. This is optional — the app has a “Not now” button that opens the protocols without it. If you do register, that information and a randomly generated device identifier are sent to our database so we can see which agencies use MedicOS. Nothing else about you is collected, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

The app also has a suggestion box. If you send a suggestion, the text you typed, a random device identifier and - only if you fill it in - an email address or name for a reply are sent to our database. It is used to read and answer suggestions, nothing else.

Tapping Career Hub in the app opens the Hub in your browser. Whatever you do there happens in your browser, not in the app. See section 3.

2. The protocol app on the web

The website asks for your name and agency before opening the protocol finder. That is not an account: there is no password, no email address and nothing verified. It is stored on your device and sent to our database, with a random device identifier, so we know which agencies are using the app.

Public pages use Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and collects no personal data. It counts page views and where visitors came from. It does not follow you anywhere else and is not used on the Career Hub or on any signed-in page.

3. The Career Hub

The Career Hub requires an account, and it is the only part of MedicOS that holds genuinely personal information. If you create one, we hold what you enter:

This is used to show you your own records and to send the reminders you asked for. It is not used for anything else. Each account can read and write only its own rows; this is enforced by the database, not only by the application.

4. What we never do

5. Who else can see it

Two services hold data on our behalf and are contractually bound to process it only for us: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and Netlify (website hosting). Email reminders are sent through an email delivery provider. We do not give your information to anyone else except where the law requires it.

6. Deleting your information

Career Hub account: you can delete it yourself from Settings inside the Hub. Deleting the account removes your profile, your certifications, your CE records and your uploaded documents.

Protocol registration: email us and we will delete the row. Tell us the name and agency you registered with so we can find it.

7. Children

MedicOS is a professional reference tool for working emergency medical personnel. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

8. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or what we do with it, the date at the top changes and the change will be noted here.
